This is exactly why Ferrari's CEO Sergio Marchionne has issued a statement revealing the brand’s intentions to unveil hybrids in their product portfolio from the year 2019. The supercar maker optimistically added that they are targeting 10,000 Ferraris a year by 2025. While details were not disclosed, Ferrari is anticipated to use an internal combustion engine in tandem with an electric motor, similar to the 161bhp electric motor that’s linked to a 789bhp V12, in the LaFerrari hypercar.

Ferrari is also known to have registered a new modular chassis architecture which will underpin both front and mid-engined hybrid cars, and the carmaker’s upcoming hybrids will join their expanded fleet with a newfound focus on everyday use. Ferrari has got a lot up their sleeve in the next few years, and their hybridisation looks promising thanks to the way their LaFerrari model has turned out.
